Positive Negative

A property preservation contractor is one that performs services on vacant properties that are in some phase of the mortgage delinquency / foreclosure process. The services are performed in order to correct any condition that lessens the value of the property and to prevent further loss of value due to deterioration, vandalism, etc.
Although most service performed can be easily handled by anyone experienced in basic home repair, there are other services involved which would not be routine for anyone other than those involved in the property preservation business. Examples are evictions and lockouts.
Routine services include changing door locks, removing debris, janitorial service, lawn care, winterization, swimming pool maintenance, repairs and remodeling.
